Northern New Jersey Spinal Cord Injury System @ KMRREC

For Individuals With Spinal Cord Injury

As one of only 16 Model Spinal Cord Injury Systems in the country funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), the primary purpose of the Northern New Jersey Spinal Cord Injury System (NNJSCIS) is to generate new knowledge to improve outcomes for persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) through the development of improved interventions and expanded service delivery options. The NNJSCIS is a collaborative endeavor involving Kessler Medical Rehabilitation Research and Education Corporation (KMRREC), Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (KIR), and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - University Hospital (UMDNJ). NNJSCIS is currently recruiting subjects to participate in several research studies. All of these studies offer financial reimbursement for participation. A description of each study is provided below.

If you are interested in participating in any of these or our future studies, please email us at SCIresearch@kmrrec.org. Studies that are recruiting participants are listed below.

Collaboration on Upper Limb Pain in Spinal Cord Injury (CULP-SCI)
